Born 1974 in Coney Island, Brooklyn New York A.W. Lee (Andrew W. Lee) was destined to become a Cinematic Composer. His passion started through his father Gregory H. Lee, a Jazz musician who’s played the Piano & Trombone passionately. At the age of 5, Andrew’s mother (Patricia D. Lee) purchased a small upright wooded piano, on which she cut out colored squares  sticking them on the piano keys to identify notes with the corresponding color. 

During this time Andrew was heavily influenced by “Pictures at an Exhibition” by Russian composer “Modest Mussorgsky”. Experiencing how music can effect ones emotion, A.W.Lee quickly adapted created full scenarios with his toys (Cars, Planes, & Action Figures) playing out action scenes to music to set the stage.

The pivotal point of Andrew’s destiny was watching the movie “ET – The Extra Terrestrial” he discover how intense Cinematic music can be…. for years Andrew as composed his own music  contrary to what was popular at the time. Hi passion to create his own sound and telling his own story through music was  his mission, this is exactly what A.W. Lee mastered for himself. 

A.W. Lee has composed music for various independent films and plays.

In January 2024 A.W. Lee has released his long awaited 1st album  “Better Late Then Never” which was soon changed to “Evolution” (Synaptic Symphony), an epic music album that seamlessly combines the power of orchestral arrangements, the energy of rock, the infectious beats of house music, and the atmospheric elements of ambient music. It offers a unique and captivating musical journey that appeals to a wide range of listeners, transcending genre boundaries and creating a truly memorable listening experience.
